Angela Ann Kassmeier, 103, of Elkhorn, Neb. formerly Fremont passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Brookestone Meadows in Elkhorn. She was born August 31, 1921 in rural West Point, Neb. to Gerhard and Mary (Baumert) Meiergerd.
Angela was raised in rural West Point, Neb. and married Anton A. Kassmeier on April 19, 1944 at Aloys, Neb. After marriage they lived south of Dodge, Neb. and farmed for 40 years. In 1983 they came to Fremont. Anton passed away on December 13, 1984.
She was a former member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge and is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. Member of St. Joan of Arc Circle and former member of St. Patrick Women.
Angela is survived by her sons, Dan (Sue) Kassmeier of Fremont and David (Sue) Kassmeier of Norfolk, Neb.; daughters, Mary Ellen (Tom) Pollard and Diane (Ed) Ahern all of Omaha; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Leo (Ann Marie) Meiergerd and Richard Meiergerd.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Dodge, Neb.
