With heavy hearts we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Angela "Angie" Gale Malugen on July 19, 2025.
Angie was born on May 4, 1968 to Sandra Collins and the late James Malugen in Durham, NC. She graduated from South Granville High School where she made life long friends. After graduating from Vance Granville Community College as a cosmetologist, she spent her career making her clients look and feel beautiful, in a way only she could. Angie enjoyed craft projects, drawing and cooking in her spare time. Her journey with Lupus was challenging, but she maintained her kindness, compassion, hope, appreciation of beauty, and love of family and friends.
She was such a wonderful daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She loved her Lord & Savior and was of Baptist faith. Angie always made everyone feel cherished and special. Her big, beautiful smile will never be forgotten.
Deeply mourned by her mama Sandra Collins, Brothers; Jason Malugen (Katrina), Chris Malugen (Kim), and John Lee, her nieces and nephews that she adored: Jessica Malugen, Krista Terrano (Kyle), Allie Malugen (Travis), Hannah Malugen, Gavin Malugen and Will Lee; great nieces; Abigail Terrano, Merritt Seech, Alison Terrano, Kennedy Terrano and Sayla Terrano; Step siblings; Kelly Garrett (Scottie), Nicole Davis, Kevin Malugen and Corey Million.
Preceded in death by her Daddy, James Malugen; her step mom Amy Malugen and Grandparents; Daisy Hill, Neatom Hill, Wilma Malugen and AB Malugen.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 9, 2025 at 11 am at Concord Baptist Church 2509 E. Lyon Station Road Creedmoor by Pastor Tim Shaw. The family will receive visitors prior to the service at 10:30 am. Arrangements are being made by First Cremation Society. Online condolences at www.firstcremation.com.
