Angela (Marlene) Sallee Blount (formally of Cleveland, Ohio) passed away peacefully, on April 5, 2023, at her daughter's home in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Marlene was born on June 11, 1933 to Charles L. and Cora Nell Sallee in Sandusky, OH. She was the youngest of 12 children (7 of whom survived to adulthood). Marlene graduated from Sandusky High School in 1952. She graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) School of Social Administration, in 1956, with a Bachelor of Science in Social Administration.

After graduating from OSU, Marlene worked as a Guide at the New York Headquarters of the United Nations. This was followed by a fulfilling career as a Probation Officer with the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Court Division; and with the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division.

Marlene was predeceased by her parents and siblings: Charles L. Sallee, Jr., Robert C., Leroy J., Rebecca J. Stanton, Mary E., John, Cora Louise, Henry E., June S. Antoine (Dr. Albert C. Antoine), and Dr. Regina M. Williams (Robert Williams). She is survived by her daughter, Angela Blount Vincent (William D. Vincent II); granddaughter, Amanda E. Vincent; son, Wilbur Sallee Blount; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in her honor at 10 am on Saturday, June 3rd, at Second Baptist Church; 315 Decatur Street; Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery & Memorial Park; 2917 Milan Rd.; Sandusky, OH 44870.
