Ms. Angela Morris

Angela Denise Morris was born on March 12, 1961, the daughter of Cornelia and the late Willie Morris of Greenville NC. She was raised under the spiritual guidance of Sycamore Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she was baptized and grew to know Jesus as her personal Savior. She departed this life on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
At an early age Angela exhibited kindness, care, and love for those around her. It was her loving spirit that led her to the music ministry of playing the organ and piano. Throughout her life Angela has blessed countless church audiences with her melodic sounds. She frequently played piano at family gatherings that beckoned members to join in sweet harmony.
As a young adult Angela attended Winston Salem University where she became more knowledgeable in music. She blossomed in her career by serving for more than16 years as the Minister of Music for the First African Baptist Church in Goldsboro, NC under the leadership of Pastor Louis Leigh, Jr.
Her memory will be cherished by the loved ones she leaves behind her mother, Cornelia F. Morris; sisters, Sonya Peele and Harriett Morris; brother, Willie Morris III; nieces, Kyndall Peele and Kayliegh Morris; nephews, Xavier Peele, Willie Morris IV, Matthew Morris, Bradley Morris, Joseph (Joey) Morris and a host of cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
While her physical presence may have gone, her sweet song of love, family, wisdom, faith, and friendship will live on forever.
