Angela Marie Murphy

Herrin- Angela M. Murphy, 58, of Herrin, passed away at 10:46 AM, Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Deaconess Regional Hospital in Marion.

Angela was born on February 22, 1967 in Southfield, MI to Jerry and Barbara (Waltrip) Ingrum. She married Michael Wayne Murphy of Herrin on July 19, 2006 at Herrin First Baptist Church and he survives.

She was Baptist and attend church when she was able. Angela most recently worked as a caregiver for children and formerly worked as a hospital reception/intake specialist until her health declined. Growing up; she had a passion for acting and modeling. She was the understudy to Genie Francis in the miniseries North and South. She worked several waitress and modeling jobs and worked for a high end Public Relations firm in Chicago.

She enjoyed spending quiet time at home and going to moivies and plays with her husband Mike. She had a passion for animals and enjoyed her Shih Tzu- "Tucker". She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother- Barbara Ingrum, beloved grandmother-Yvonne Waltrip and her brother- Don Ingrum.

Angela is survived by her beloved husband- Mike Murphy of Herrin; father- Jerry Ingrum of Springfield; step-children- Gavin Murphy and wife Jessica of Herrin and Natalie Murphy of Washington D.C.; step grandchildren- Lily, Michael and Luke Murphy of Herrin; brother in law- David Lee Murphy and wife Donna of Franklin, TN and nephews- Jesse Cole Murphy, John Murphy and Nick Murphy.

Angela will be cremated and private services may be held at a later date. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to McCluskie-Miller Funeral Home in Herrin.
