Angela "Angie" Saggese, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 13, 2025, at the age of 95 in New York.
Angela was born on April 15, 1929, in Waterbury, Connecticut. Angie was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in New York City. She married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph Cambareri, at the tender age of 21.Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to a career in the jewelry district and later on in life she became a retail store owner on the lower east side. Music, cooking, and family were among some of the passions of Angie's life.
Angie's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her daughters, Dr. Linda Cambareri Fernandez and Bernadette Rotenberg; her adored grandchildren, Samantha Krudner and Michael Rotenberg; and her cherished nieces and nephew, Loretta Rosati, Colombo Saggese, and Gina Saggese.
Those who knew Angie will remember her for her quick humor and sharp mind. Her stories, often punctuated with her signature wit, will be retold and cherished by friends and family alike. Her memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of those who have been a part of her life.
Though she has left this world, her light remains undimmed in the lives of those she touched.
