Angela Nancy Sorenson
"Beloved Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend."
February 9th, 1981-May 13th, 2025
Angela Nancy Sorenson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 9th, 1981 to Raelynn Sorenson. She passed away May 13th, 2025. Angela was the oldest sister to 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Angela was a great student and graduated from Granite High School in 1999. She also attended Salt Lake Community College. Angela loved volunteering and had a very giving heart. She especially enjoyed volunteering at The Road Home and collecting toys for The Christmas Box House. Angela lived most of her life in Salt Lake City, and briefly lived in Wisconsin for a time.
Angela was a loving dog mom to two dogs, Kiki and Caillou. She was also a dog mom to her dog Juliet that sadly passed away from diabetes. Her dog's meant the world to her.
Angela was very artistic. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, drawing, painting and many other craft activities. She loved giraffes. Angela enjoyed figure skating. She loved watching it and even competed a few times. Angela worked at Albertson's and The University of Utah as an operating room supply technician. Unfortunately due to physical ailments and illnesses, Angela was unable to continue working a traditional job and began babysitting and dog walking.
From the beginning Angela had many challenges to face. She was born with an open spine, and at 3 years old she became a type 1 diabetic. Due to the many challenges Angela was faced with, her mental health also took a hit. Part of Angela's mental health challenges were that she felt she needed constant, unwavering attention. Angela never fully felt the love she had around her from her family and felt she needed to embellish truths to receive that same love from others outside of her family. No matter the distance or time apart her family all fully cared for and loved Angela.
Angela was the first grandchild for her maternal grandmother Anne. Anne was so excited to be a grandma. She was the first granddaughter for her paternal grandmother Nancy. After 2 grandson's, everyone was very excited to add a girl to the mix. Both her grandmother's deeply loved her.
Angela loved spending time with and spoiling her cousin Makayla. Makayla was 17 years younger than Angela. Angela loved babysitting and caring for her.
Initially, as a single parent, Angela and her mother Raelynn were very close. Raelynn enjoyed spending time with Angela both as a child and as an adult.
Angela is survived by her mother Raelynn, half siblings Chris (Amber), Jeremy, Rebecca (TJ), and Step-Sister Felicia (Ty), 5 nieces and 2 nephews, Grandma Nancy, Grandpa Dave, 2 fur babies Kiki and Caillou and numerous other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her Grandma Anne, Grandpa Buddy, Uncle Bill, Aunt Aralee and her fur baby Juliet.
Our family would like to thank Jenkins-Soffe for the loving care they provided our family and Angela.

Angela was such a kind, friendly neighbor. She always made our days a little better visiting with her. She will always have a special place in our hearts and missed dearly.

Angela was so loving to my family. When our baby girl was diagnosed with OMAS with a Neuroblastoma she checked on her everyday and sent gifts to her. She had the biggest heart and loved without measure. She also watched our dog Sadie and spoiled her with all the other dogs she cared for. I love Angela and miss her so very much.

Angela watched our Ruby girl and loved her with her whole heart, I feel honored to have known Angela. She was a good friend and inspired me to love bigger. She will be greatly missed, especially in the dog community.

I lived in the same apartment complex as Angela did and she was a staple there. I will miss her and her cute pictures she would send me of not only Kiki and Caillou but of all the dogs that she would walk and or babysit. She will be dearly missed.
