Alan Sorenson, 69, of Logansport, Indiana, passed away on September 1, 2025, while visiting his daughter in Hortense, Georgia. He was so excited for the opportunity to spend time with her and his grandchildren.
Born on July 22, 1956, Alan was the son of the late August Sorenson Jr and Margaret (Koger) Sorenson. He graduated from Delphi High School in 1974. Alan spent much of his life working with livestock, something he truly loved. He found joy in the hard work that came with it.
Alan was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He will be remembered as a hardworking man with deep devotion to his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Sorenson of Hortense, Georgia; his sister, Linda Smith of Logansport; his grandchildren, Addi, Wyatt, Reagan, Tymber, and Kaiden; and stepchildren, Amy Pryor and Joey McCoy, along with several step-grandchildren; one nephew, Jeffrey Smith of Logansport and one great nephew, Luke Smith of Logansport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Margaret Sorenson; and a brother, William Steven Sorenson.
A celebration of life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Paint Creek Cemetery.
