Angélica Ortega, 94, a resident of Miami, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Miami Gardens, Florida. She is survived by her beloved husband, Santos Ortega; her five children, Heriberto Barreto, Rubén Barreto, Santia Piñeiro, Sylvia Carlo, and Santos Jr. Ortega; her 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Angélica Ortega's life was a beautiful reflection of her love for God, her family, and all those with whom she shared a deep affection. Today we gather to honor her extraordinary legacy, celebrating a 94-year life marked by unwavering faith, unconditional love, and selfless service.
As the devoted wife of Pastor Santos Ortega, she was his pillar, his companion, and his best friend, united in ministry and in his life.
Angélica's family was blessed to have her as their matriarch, guiding them with wisdom, love, and integrity. Her home was a haven of peace, where she opened her heart and doors to all, offering a listening ear, a word of comfort, and a prayer. Angélica Ortega's life was a shining example of what it means to live a life dedicated to Jesus Christ, and her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come.
