Angelo R. Cappelli, Jr., 70, died Sunday July 14, 2024, at home. He was the husband of the late Paula (Guglielmetti) Cappelli. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo R. Cappelli, and the late Anna (DiRaimo) Cappelli.
He was a correctional officer for the State of Rhode Island before retiring.
Angelo is survived by his daughter Jacquelyn Lawton and her husband Steven, brother of Martin A. Cappelli, Anthony Cappelli and Ann Marie Vanner, and the late Robert S. Cappelli. Loving grandfather of Madison and Chace Lawton, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelo’s memory may be made to St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828.
