Angelo Frischetti Obituary

Angelo Frischetti
Angelo Frischetti of Woodbridge, Connecticut passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on August 5, 2023. He was 76 years old. Angelo was the beloved husband of Joanne (Musco) Frischetti for 49 years, devoted father to Marissa (John) Westbrook and Jason Frischetti, and loving pop-pop to grandchildren Andrew, Ryan and Anna. He is also survived by his brother Pasquale (Christine) Frisketti .
Angelo was born on September 17, 1946 in New Haven, CT to Angelo Frisketti and Anna (Gambardella) Frisketti. He was an English teacher in the East Haven school system for 35 years, where he blended literature, music and culture to inspire his students. He attended SCSU where he received a Bachelor's degree in Education and Master's degrees in English Literature and Counseling. Angelo was a longtime local musician, playing in bands including The Long Island Sounds and Northern Lights. He was also an avid reader, and could always be found with a piece of literature in his hands. But what brought Angelo the most joy was spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and friends, listening to music, and relaxing with his wife at his cottage on Cape Cod.
Friends and family may gather on Wednesday August 9th at Maresca & Sons Funeral Home, 592 Chapel St., New Haven from 4 p.m.to 6 p.m. and are invited to go directly to church for A Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, August 10th at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 81 Center Rd. in Woodbridge, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Association to Preserve Cape Cod (apcc.org). Offer condolences at marescafuneralhome.com

I am Angelo's Aunt Marion and when I have moments of going down Memory Lane, I think of all the relatives I have held close to my heart and I remember all my times with Angelo and his family.
I babysat for him soon after his birth and many times as he grew up. I loved him dearly and I still do. I know he is at peace on the other side and send him my love and blessings until we meet again.

Whenever we visited my Great Aunt Anna and Uncle Baldy in East Haven it was a great time but Angelo and Patsy were in their late teens and never around. I knew Angelo played Sax, like my Maternal Grandfather Frank Canalli. In 1976 My first Wife had Angelo as an English Teacher and she loved him! I missed knowing him in life. Now he's one of my Angels.

Dear Joanne and family: I have just learned of
Angelo's passing and am saddened. Angelo and I go back a long time ago. I actually baby-sat for him when he was a baby. I used to pick him up at school. He was so intelligent, musically talented and just a wonderful guy. He spent lots of time with my brother John at the high school. It's sad when our loved ones leave before we do. I live in Florida now and sorry that I lost connection with him but we are never separated in Spirit. Our loved ones live in our hearts forever. My sincere condolences to you and the family. I'm sure Angelo made his destination with Angels to the other side and was embraced with much love.
May our Almighty Father God grant you peace and strength to overcome your grief. Blessings of
Love and Peace, Marion.

Angelo is my 2nd Cousin. My first Wife Debbie Stowers Alling was in his English Class in 1975 in East Haven HS when I met her. I always admired him for his success even though we never spent time together. Angelo was a kind and gentle Man from early on. May Our Lord Jesus Christ rest his soul.

Angelo was always mature and cared about his family and friends. I knew him in college and younger

later years. He loved to have fun but was always the conservative voice. As our circle gets smaller, certain names will always carry forth.
May he rest in peace...Memory eternal.
May the Force be with you my friend.

My condolences to Angelo´s family. I met Angelo when I joined his band Northern lights and enjoyed his musicianship and his friendship over the years. Though Northern Lights disbanded many years ago, I enjoyed seeing him in Dennis Port as well as the occasional encounter at Stop & Shop.

Angelo was a great member of the Long Island Sounds in which I was the drummer. I have many great memories of our musical adventures when we were young and aspiring musicians. So sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear this sad news.
Thoughts and prayers to the family.
My memories of Angelo include performing with him in the 50´s concert at EHHS in 1974 and when he would visit his aunt Theresa and uncle Tony Spargo who lived next door to my parents. Uncle Tony would teach Marisa how to swim.
May he rest in peace Amen

Just last week I was thinking of Angelo and Pat's wonderful relationship. It was my first close view of an older brother relationship and I was wowed by the love and care freely expressed both ways. Brotherly most aptly describes it in the truest sense of the word. Always will remember respect and admiration he and Pat shared. Such a wonderful family!

Dear Joanne, Marissa, and Jason

I was deeply saddened to hear of Angelo´s passing. For many years we had a great time making music all over the state with Northern Lights. Outside of being an excellent vocalist and bassist, Angelo was a gentleman and a class act. He loved his family, his friends, and his profession as an accomplished educator. I will certainly miss his smile and his great sense of humor. May the good Lord forever rest his soul in eternal peace.

Joanne,

My deepest condolences on the passing of your husband.

So often, I would bump into him at Stop and Shop and we would have a great conversation catching up on what's new in each of our lives.

Truly a gentleman.

Please know that you and your family will continue to be in my daily thoughts and prayers.
