Angelo De Gaetano

Angelo De Gaetano died suddenly at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ on July 10, 2025. He was 86 years old.
Born in Newark, NJ, Angelo was the son of the late Josephine and Joseph De Gaetano. He spent his early years in Newark before living in Plainfield, Piscataway, and Watchung. He ultimately settled in Millington, where he resided for over 30 years.
Angelo worked for more than 30 years with Entenmann's Family Bakery in Edison, NJ, where he was known for his dedication and friendly demeanor on the road.
Music was a lifelong passion for Angelo. He was a member of the Newark-based Doo Wop band, The Spiedels, and his love for singing brought joy to many. He was an avid athlete who enjoyed Pickleball, Tennis, and especially golf. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, he worked out daily and was a longtime member of the Warren Racket Club. He was also a big Giants and Yankees fan.
Angelo embraced life to the fullest and always did so with a smile. He was the social director, always eager to plan dinner dates, attend Doo Wop concerts, and travel. Angelo was someone you could always count on-generous with his time and ready to help family, friends, and neighbors whenever they needed him.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Marie (Fiano) De Gaetano; his daughter Donna and her spouse Jamie Lynch; his son Joseph De Gaetano and his spouse Linda; and his cherished grandchildren Angelo, Christopher, Michael, and Juliana. He was predeceased by his sister, Marie Sclafani.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 1012 Valley Road, Gillette, NJ. Cremation was private.
