Elizabeth (Leo) Gaetano age 84 of Malaga, NJ passed away peacefully at home on March 20th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 15th, 1941 in Vineland, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Carlo & Julia (Feraca) Leo. She was a graduate of Clayton High School, class of 1959. Liz was a lifelong Franklin Township resident who grew up and still lived on the same homestead until her death. She drove a bus for the Franklin township district for 29 years. Furthermore, she was a loyal member with her time & talent to Malaga Assembly (Hope Assembly) as a Sunday school teacher, women's ministry president (WM's), organist, a member of the choir, a greeter of parishioners every Sunday, as well as an organizer of many events for the church.
She was a dedicated owner of Gaetano Indoor Soccer, Inc. with her husband Frank since 1986. In recent years she loved going to the building & talking with people and children while sitting in her rolling chair. She enjoyed walking the property several times a day, going to Ocean City, NJ to walk the boardwalk, going out to many dinner with her girlfriends & many summer trips to Italy. In the spring & summer she loved to sit by the pool and mow the many acres of lawn because she loved to do it. She was an avid fan of Bryce Harper and the Phillies.
Aside from her husband Frank, the loves of her lives were her grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader at their sports/school events, always yelling "That's my grandchild!" One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family, whether she was entertaining or simply making dinner for the whole family. It was her greatest joy to be surrounded by those she loved.
Liz is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank Gaetano. Her children Francesco Gaetano, Jr. (Patricia), Robert Gaetano (Dana), Carla Gaetano Stiteler (Jeff). Her grandchildren Francesco Gaetano, III (Mackenzie), Nicholas Gaetano, Ashlei Stiteler, Cutter Stiteler and Christian Gaetano and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her brother Edward Leo (& Ruthann).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Liz's memory may be made to Hope Assembly, 377 Dutch Mill Road, Newfield, NJ 08344.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Gaetano Family especially Frank and the children and grandchildren of both. I have known Liz most of my life since the age of five when I started attending the church, she was my Sunday School teacher, helped with Missionettes and VBS and other areas of the church. She was also my bus driver. She was so loving and supportive of people. She always loved going to holiday events at other churches and always volunteered to drive in order for us all to go to these events as we grew into older beings. I will definitely miss her, thank God for her each Sunday at church you could never tell she was ill, this past Sunday (03/16/25) she came up to me and said hello like always, touched my hand and said it is cold and then thanked me for her birthday card, my last words and last goodbye, it will not be the same without seeing her. I know she was ready to pass on and now she is where she wants to be with her dad/mom and brother but yet missing her entire family but think of it like this, she is watching over each of you and still loving you all. Love you my friend,
With Blessings and Sympathy,
Debra Ann Lindner/Jackson and family

My heart is saddened by the loss of my life-long friend. We shared many great times together which I will never forget. She may not be with us anymore, but she is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior. I will see her again; what a reunion that will be. You will be missed. Love you......Janet McAnney
