Derio Ciccacci passed away on August 21, 2025, at the age of 98.
Born in Wayne, Michigan his parents moved the family to their native Italy when he was 4 years old. His formative years on the family farm developed his talent for gardening and it was also where he started his own family. At age 24, Derio returned to America to raise his family in Vineland, NJ.
Employed by OI/Kimble Glass he retired in 1989 and enjoyed his retirement with family and tending his yard, with special pride for his beloved persimmon trees.
Derio is survived by his wife of 75 years, Gabriella (Sopranzetti); son, Enrico Ciccacci (Barbara); granddaughter, Kim Durand (Keith); grandson, Michael Liss (Erin); and three great-grandchildren, Sadie Durand, Macie Durand, and Miles Liss. He was predeceased by daughter, Laura Liss; and a grandson, Kevin Liss.
A graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday, August 27th at 10:00 am from Sacred Heart Cemetery, 741 E Walnut Rd, Vineland.
