Angie Moya, a cherished educator and devout member of the Zion Lutheran Church, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born on January 2, 1949, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Angie radiated warmth and wisdom to all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Papa Juan XXIII High School and InterAmericana University with a Bachelor of Art in Education, Angie dedicated her life to her family as a beloved teacher, mother, and grandmother. Her caring spirit and infectious enthusiasm for teaching left an indelible mark on countless people throughout her life.
Angie is lovingly remembered by a host of family members who continue to honor her legacy. She now joins in eternal rest her adored parents, Faustino Velazquez and Angeles Rivera. Angie's life was a beacon of love and education, leaving a lasting impact that will resonate in the hearts of her family and community forever. A funeral service for Angie will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507. Visitation will be the same day from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at The Lexington Cemetery, 833 West Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40508. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507 is in care of all arrangements for Angie Moya.
