In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations can be made to help the family with these unexpected expenses by clicking or simply take a walk on the beach, light up your home like it's Christmas, and remember Angie with a smile.
Angie Leigh Neathery, aged 52, gracefully exited this world on May 21, 2025, in her hometown of Portsmouth, VA, leaving behind a legacy of style, sass, and an abundance of Christmas lights.
Born on April 25, 1973, Angie was a proud graduate of Deep Creek High School. She began her career capturing memories at Lifetouch Studios in Chesapeake before shifting gears to become a service manager at Greenbrier Chrysler, where she took as much pride in her work as she did in her ever-growing collection of shoes and purses.
Angie was the embodiment of a people person. With a feisty personality and a heart as big as her love for the beach, she never hesitated to lend a hand or defend those she held dear. Whether she was getting her hair and nails done or dazzling friends and family with her holiday decorations (her Christmas light displays were legendary), Angie knew how to make every moment sparkle.
Her love story with Teddy Conrad Neathery began in the third grade, proving that sometimes the greatest romances start with crayons and recess. After reconnecting later in life, they enjoyed six wonderful years of marriage, during which he affectionately called her "Cricket." Together, they created a life filled with laughter, love, and trips to the boardwalk.
Angie is survived by her devoted husband, Teddy; her cherished son, Robert Steven Boyd Jr.; her loving sister, Joni Grissom; and three adored grandchildren who will no doubt inherit her zest for life and impeccable sense of style. She joins her parents, John Purnell Breeding and Linda Owens Lawrence, and her brothers, Joseph Harvey Harrison Jr. and Shannon Dell Holcomb, in a place where the beaches are endless and the Christmas lights never dim.
