Anita B. Murphy, age 80 of Crawfordsville, passed away on September 12, 2025 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born on July 23, 1945 to Blye and Fannie (Seay) Moody in Kansas City, MO.
Anita married Jack Allen Murphy, spending over 50 loving years together until his passing in 2017.
She was always ready to play a game of cards with anyone, carrying a deck in her purse at all times. Anita loved traveling to Florida with her family, with Panama City Beach being her favorite. She was a longtime member of Alamo Christian Church.
Anita is survived by her sons, Todd (Tia) Murphy of Indianapolis and Troy Murphy of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Sara (Steve), Jacob, Jessica (Josh), Matt (Stephanie) and Jack; great grandchildren, Haley, Claire, Josie, Cooper, Kobyn, Emma, Ethan, Ella, Lily, Alex and Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and daughter, Tami Booher.
With Anita's wishes, services will be private. She will be laid to rest next to Jack at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery outside of New Market.
