Ann Hedges Bourne
Loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother
Signal Mountain native Ann Hedges Bourne died suddenly December 12th at
age 72. Ann was a graduate of Windsor High School in Windsor, CT and later
received her Associate degree from Chattanooga State Technical Community
College as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She retired after a lengthy
career in home health care and rehabilitation services. She was a member of
New City Fellowship Church in Chattanooga and previously a longtime
member of Wayside Presbyterian on Signal Mountain.
A nature lover, Ann enjoyed morning walks, gardening as well as trips to the
mountains and the seashore. An avid reader and antiques buff, she was a
gifted cook and gracious hostess. She was much admired for her
unwavering faith and greatly beloved for her steadfast devotion to family and
friends. What brought her the greatest joy was spending time with her
grandchildren Anna and Luke.
She was preceded in death by her father, David F. Hedges from Signal
Mountain and later of Windsor, CT, and her brother David F. Hedges,
Jr. of Kearneysville, WV.
Ann will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jon Bourne of 45 years; her
mother Mary Hedges, daughter Tasha/Natasha Polk and granddaughter Anna
Polk of Chattanooga. She also leaves her son Caleb (Rachel Bodenbender)
and grandson Lucas Bourne, all of the Atlanta area. Along with her immediate
family, Ann also leaves an aunt, uncle, nephews, cousins and extended family
from all over.
Services will be held Tuesday December 19, 2023 at Legacy Funeral Home
8911 Dallas Hollow Road Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379 with visitation 10:30-12:30
