Ann Butler, 82, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Ann was born on November 10, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Bellaire, where she attended Bellaire High School. She later graduated from Southwest Texas State University, where she met and married the love her life Wilbur Butler. She began a life filled with faith, service, and deep love for her family.

Ann treasured the lifelong friendships she built from her earliest school days, many of which endured throughout her entire life. Her Girl Scout troop held a special place in her heart. Through every season of life, Ann remained deeply connected to her circle of friends, celebrating milestones, offering support, and cherishing the joy of a friendship that truly stood the test of time.

A devoted member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Beaumont, Ann was an active participant in the church community for many years. She found great joy and purpose in her involvement with the Friday Morning Ministry, serving and supporting the homeless in the Beaumont area. Ann was also a proud and faithful member of the Daughters of the King chapter at St. Mark's, where her faith and compassion touched many lives.

Above all, Ann was a devoted grandmother to her five lively grandsons. She delighted in sharing adventures with them-from magical trips to Disneyland to exploring Texas history and discovering the state's most famous "swimming holes." Her love, laughter, and sense of adventure created lasting memories that her family will forever cherish.

Ann's faith, kindness, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Stacy Smith and her husband, Kyle, of Nacogdoches; Beau Butler of Fredericksburg; and son-in-law, David Perez of Beaumont; grandchildren, Brett Smith and his wife, Savannah; Jake Smith and his wife, Lindsey; Trey Smith and his wife, Brooke; and Will Smith, all of Nacogdoches; Bryce Butler of Fredericksburg; Dustin Perez; Eric Perez; and Cortney Perez Harris; and siblings, Betty Glass and her husband, Charles Gray; Nancy Glass; and Nick Aring.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur Butler; daughter, Kellye Butler Perez; daughter-in-law, Amy Butler; and granddaughter, Ashley Perez Salazar.

Memorial contributions may be made to Friday Morning Ministries at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder, Beaumont, Texas 77701 or an organization of one's choice.
