Ann E. Coupe, age 66 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

She was born in Wilmington, DE and raised in Claymont, DE. Ann was the daughter of the late Rita T. (Ewing) and Alexander J. McGurk. She attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from St. Mark's High School in 1977.

Ann spent her working career as a purchasing manager starting at St. Francis Hospital where she spent 21 years, followed by University of Pennsylvania Hospital for 14 years and finally retiring from Vizient, Inc in 2020 after 6 years.

Throughout her life Ann formed many strong bonds with people she met along the way and has countless long-lasting friendships, dating all the way back to her time at Holy Rosary.

Ann enjoyed camping, especially many nights spent at Muddy Run Campground, spending time at the beach, dancing, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Phillies. She found the most joy being with her family, especially family dinners and playing games with her grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her 3 daughters, Leighann Lutz (Matthew), Stephanie Maguire (Tim) and Erica Hults (Andrew); 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Raigan, Kiley, McKinley, Lily, Allison, Brady and Chase; 4 siblings, Rosemary McGarry, Linda Connor (Jack), Michael McGurk (Karen) and Robert McGurk (Patsy); many nieces, nephews, close friends and her beloved dog, Hershey. She is also preceded in death by her brother James McGurk and brother-in-law, Michael McGarry.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 14 from 6-8 pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15 at 10 am at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Wilmington. Inurnment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
