Ann Marie Germain was born in Cadott, Wisconsin on October 5,, 1928, to Walter and Emma Trombley. They lived in Cadott and Minneapolis before settling in Somerset.

After graduating from Somerset High in 1946, she worked in an office in Minneapolis. She married Ed Germain in 1947, and they had 6 children and spent 70 years together!

Ann Marie was active in the church, being a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Mother’s Club. Later in life, she worked at the Somerset Laundromat and was also an aide on the special needs bus. Ann Marie enjoyed listening to music, dancing, fishing, reading, visiting, going for walks and baking bars, breads & cookies. Most of all she loved spending time with family. She loved golfing and the Packers. She was full of life and always positive and smiling. She was the most caring person we knew, and she was the human Facebook for all of us.

Ma and Dad raised us kids to work hard, to keep an open mind, and to use our family’s inherited sense of humor through all the good, and especially, through all the tough times in life.

Ann Marie will be greatly missed by her children Darryl, Ron & Carol (Parent), Wally & Debbie (Schaar), Dale & Jane (Hurd), Colleen & Bob (Kieckhoefer), Mike & Michelle (Vanasse); 13 Grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandsons, and her brother Melvin.

Ann Marie was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her parents Walter and Emma Trombley, her brothers Lowell and Darryl, two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Alice, and many loved ones in the Trombley, Germain, Krenz and Douville families.

Visitation 10-11 AM with 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial Friday January 23 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 141 Church Hill Road, Somerset. Private burial at a later date.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to everyone who made Mom’s long life such a good one! God bless!
