She received her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University; her Master's in Nursing from Indiana University and in 1983 her PhD from Purdue. She had a National Institutes of Health post-doctoral grant from 1992-1993 at Washington University School of Medicine. Ann was a member of many boards and organizations and served as West Lafayette City Councilor from 2003 through 2015. Ann and Dick retired from PU in 2000 after becoming Master Gardeners (MG) in 1999. After their retirement Dick and Ann used their Master Gardener skills to work part time in landscape design and sales. They enjoyed traveling within the United States and to Europe to visit unique gardens. Ann is survived by her wonderful family: children John Hunt (RoseMary) of Shoreview, MN and Julie Wolf (Peter) of Ballwin, MO; four grandchildren CJ (Jessie), Marti (Billy), Joanna and Evan (Sarah); and great granddaughter, Zadie. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dick, and brothers John Thomas (Tom) and Jay Hankins. Ann truly loved her family; she also cherished her long career in nursing, her friends, her colleagues, her nursing classmates and students and enjoyed her hobbies of reading, photography, volunteering and gardening. Ann was a volunteer at many organizations and in January 2017 was named an Outstanding Volunteer by the Mayor John Dennis of West Lafayette. Arrangements: There will be a Gathering of Friends at Westminster Village 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday August 16. So sorry to read of Ann´s passing, she was always so kind and pleasant. I remember her taking a lot of pictures of my jewelry at the Farmers Market every Wednesday afternoon. She will be missed my deepest sympathies to her family.

Ann became a good friend when I moved to Indiana in 2013. We shared many laughs, heartaches and deep conversation over Westminster Village coffee
and Friday Flea Markets? I came to understand why Ann was so admired in West Lafayette. I will miss her friendly counsel and even her endless trove of jokes. Rest in peace Ann, Love Linda
