Ann MacMillan Obituary
A gathering time will be held from 11-12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Lensing's Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
Ann was born on February 16, 1939 to Charles and Florence (Campbell) Williams in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington, Massachusetts and then received her bachelor's degree from Boston University. Following a move to the Midwest, Ann obtained two Master's degrees from the University of Iowa.
Ann was fortunate enough to be able to teach school overseas for four years; first in Japan and then in Germany. After returning to Iowa, she taught at West Liberty High School for almost 30 years. Prior to retirement, Ann worked for five years at the University of Iowa Foundation.
Ann enjoyed reading, traveling, attending theater productions, classical music and socializing. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Iowa City and a College Community School District Volunteer. Above all else, she was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Kris MacMillan and a grandchild, Indigo Enequist. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Charles, Robert and Alice Williams.
