Ann Mayhew Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Buchanan Funeral Home - Austin on Oct. 1, 2025.
Ann Marie Mayhew, a beacon of joy and kindness, passed away peacefully at her home in Austin, Indiana, on September 19, 2025, just one day shy of her 66th birthday. Born on September 20, 1959, in Kansas, Ann Marie was the cherished daughter of Dale and Lida (Combs) Williams, both of whom preceded her in death.
Ann Marie's life was marked by her infectious smile, her unwavering generosity, and her love for all things Mickey Mouse. Her spirit was one of boundless energy and enthusiasm, which she poured into every aspect of her life, including her passion for collecting Longaberger Baskets. She had a unique ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, and she never met a stranger, treating everyone she encountered as a friend.
Her love story with Jeffrey Mayhew was a testament to her belief in love and commitment. Married for five years, Jeffrey was her steadfast companion, and he survives her, carrying forward the light of their shared memories.
Ann Marie's legacy is also carried on by her devoted children, Stephanie Sutton of Seymour, Indiana, and Shawn Mayhew of Austin, Indiana. Her grandchildren, whom she adored more than words can express, will miss her deeply, Trevor Johnson, Karisma Johnson, Kenton Johnson, and Lacy Bolen.
She leaves behind her loving siblings, Mike Williams, Michelle Crosby, and Tammy White, all of Kansas, as well as her step-mother, Meredith Williams of Leavenworth, Kansas. Her departure was preceded by the loss of her son, Anothony Williams, and her brother, Ward Williams.
Ann Marie was a dedicated member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Crothersville, Indiana,
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, with Rev. Junior Fields and Rev. Elisha White officiating. Friends and family may visit from 4 to 8 pm on Friday and after 10 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
