Ann Dolores McCarroll, 91, passed away February 11, 2025, at The Peaks Assisted Living Center in Lafayette, CO.
Ann was born July 17, 1933, in Orange NJ to John Murray and Elizabeth Ciccilline. She grew up in Newark, attending St. Vincent Academy and Secretarial School. She worked as a secretary at the American Can Company in Newark.
She married Robert J. McCarroll on Feb. 2, 1957, in NJ and they lived there until transferring with Bell Labs to Boulder, Colorado in 1969. Together they raised 4 children. Ann worked as the Parish Secretary at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Boulder. Also, at Sontrix Alarm Systems in Boulder.
Ann is survived by her husband Robert and 3 children. Robert M. (Merce Crosas Navarro) of Spain, Patricia (Charles) Schonberger, Westminster, CO and Paul McCarroll, Firestone, CO. One son, John, passed in 2007. She is also survived by two special “daughters” Cindee McCarroll of Durham, NC and Zee McCarroll of Longmont, CO.
Surviving grandchildren are Gregory (Stephanie) Schonberger, of Menifee, CA, Beth (Kyle) Boyd, of Denver, Gavin McCarroll of Colorado Springs, Colleen (Jordi Pena) McCarroll of Spain, Meghan (Barry Nadeau) McCarroll of Broomfield, CO. Erin (Robert Mitchell) McCarroll, Garner, NC, Jordan (Phillip) Howard, Benson, NC. Also step-grandchildren Alohi Holing of Redmond, WA, and Eli Munn of Cambridge, MA.
Great grandchildren who were lucky enough to know their GG Ann are Oliver, Margaret, and Peter Boyd, Liam and Olivia McCarroll Pena, and Hannah Mitchell. There is one more on the way!
Ann was active in her kids’ activities during their youth, especially Cub and Boy Scouts, and then during retirement was active with Ladies of Charity at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Denver, and Children’s Hospital, Boulder Chapter.
Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 @ 2:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St., Thornton, CO.
