Ann Putt, age 87 formerly of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at The Laurels Assisted Living Home in Wellsboro, PA. Ann was born July 15, 1938 in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of Homer and Joyce (Genaway) McOmber. She was married to Dr. Robert Putt, whom she met when they were both age 13. They had their wedding at age 20, and were married 65 years until his passing in 2023. Ann was a teacher at a number of schools, and taught for many years at R.B. Walter Elementary School. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Amy (Gary) Mosher of Wellsboro, and Debra Payne of Mansfield; grandchildren, Ashley (Stephen) Marcin of Apalachin, NY, Brandon (Sara) Payne of Pittsburgh, PA, and Ryan (Kim) Mosher of Waxhaw, NC; great-grandchildren Ada, Eloise, and Eden Marcin; Miles and Mason Mosher; and sister Nancy (Rudolph) Enck of Victor, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son-in-law Scott Payne.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:30PM. Ann will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield PA.
