Anna Barbagallo

Anna (nee Serio) Barbagallo (91) of Chatham, NJ passed away on December 25, 2023. Anna was born in Palermo, Sicily on December 16, 1932. She came to the United States as a young woman with her family in 1948 settling in Paterson until she married her husband, John.
Anna was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant the world to her. She loved to knit, cook and make delicious pizza that her family and friends loved.
Anna was predeceased by her husband John; her parents, Anthony and Maria Serio; and her 3 dear sisters, Antoinette D'Agati, Rosa Collesano and Giovanna Gorga.
She is survived by 4 loving children: Sara DeGennaro of Rockaway, NJ, Mary Bickley of Wichita, KS, Anna Guttilla and her husband Chris of Jupiter, Fl, and John Barbagallo and his partner Kristen of West Creek, NJ; 9 cherished grandchildren; Jenelle Kang and her husband, Yilo, Phillip DeGennaro, Michael Steinberg and his wife, Tara, Daniel Steinberg and his wife, Sarah, Rachael Steinberg, Charlie Guttilla, Gianna Guttilla, Christian Guttilla, Aric Booker, and Giovanni Barbagallo; and 6 adored great-grandchildren: Felix, Daphne, Catherine, James, Lillian and Ethan.
Visiting hours will be Friday, December 29, 2023 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Wm. A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St. Chatham, NJ with a Prayer Service on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Teresa's Cemetery, Summit, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's name may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
