Everett, PA- Anna Mowen Britner, 90, of Everett, PA and formerly of Williamsport, MD and North Beach Park, MD passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Homewood Living Martinsburg in Martinsburg, PA. She was a very social person and trusted friend to many.
She was born on July 26, 1935, in Washington County, MD to Harry Rent "Specs" Traver and Jane Ellen (Pryor) Robertson.
Anna attended Williamsport Schools.
She was a Homemaker.
She was a member of Bedford Valley Bible Church Centerville, PA.
Anna was always known for her resemblance to "Lauren Bacall". She was the town beauty and as noted by a close friend "she really loved her husband Ron and could have had anyone she wanted."
She is survived by her husband Ronald Ogden Britner, Jr. whom she married on January 29, 1955 (70 years); daughter Sophia A. Montgomery and her husband Thomas of Perry Hall, MD; son Ronald O. Britner, III and his fiancée Dawn di Lorenzo of Morganton, GA.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by an infant daughter Julianna Jane Britner; brother Harry Traver; her late dog "Buddy Boy" who was her beloved pet and constant companion.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 South Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor John Hollis officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Bedford County Humane Society 182 Bohn Rd. Bedford, PA 15522 or a local animal shelter of your choice.
