Anna C. Carapella (Cardelli), at 101, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2022. Anna was born on April 1, 1921 at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY. Anna resided in Tuckahoe, NY her entire life and worked for the Town of Eastchester as a Law secretary for 53 years. She was actively involved in the community as a longtime loyal parishioner of the Assumption Church, a member of the Tuckahoe Historical Committee and a member of the Assumption Church's Altar Rosary Society.
She was the daughter of Angelo and Lucia Cardelli, and the Beloved Wife of Carmine "Min" Carapella, who passed away in 1999. Anna is survived by her sister Benita Messenkopf, brother Albert Cardelli and 19 nieces and nephews (inclusive of great) and predeceased by her sister Gloria DiRienzo. Anna was notably generous and loved spending time with her family and friends. She was adored by many and will be immensely missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 4-8 pm at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY. The Funeral Mass will be held at 930am on Friday July 22, 2022 at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/

Annie was not only always there while I was growing up on No. High St, but was part of my starting my working career at Town Hall. She stayed on in No High, and Town Hall after I left both, and will always be included in my memories for those places.
She was a wonderful person to know, with a quick and sunny smile, and touched the lives of many people. She will be missed.
