It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna May Seyffert Dibbern on September 19, 2025, at the age of 95 from a short battle with cancer. Born on November 12, 1929, in Houston, Texas, to Albert and Minnie (Grothe) Seyffert, Anna May's life was one of love, family, and faith.
Anna May graduated from Reagan High School and later attended the University of Houston. She worked for many years at Southwestern Bell, where she made lasting friendships and was known for her dedication and hard work.
She met her future husband, John C. Dibbern Jr., through their best friends on a double date. The couple married on May 31, 1952, and shared 60 wonderful years together until John's passing in 2013. Family was the cornerstone of Anna May's life, and she dedicated herself to being a loving and supportive daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Anna May's love for her family was evident in everything she did. She always made sure that everyone was well-fed. She was known for her warmth, hospitality, and her constant care in making others feel loved and appreciated. She always put others ahead of herself.
One of the most profound aspects of Anna May's life was her devotion to prayer. Every day and night, for at least 45 minutes, she would pray for each of her family members by name, asking for their protection, guidance, and blessings. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her family through these daily prayers will forever be a cherished memory and a testament to her deep love and commitment.
