Anna Evelyn Hendrix, age 84, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on June 4, 2024.  She was born in Pittsburg, California, on August 27, 1939, to Willie Walter Sills and Rhonda Ann (Davis) Sills.

Anna married Jack O’Dell Hendrix in 1954.  She was a faithful wife to Jack for 32 years until his death in November of 1987.  She raised five children, after losing her youngest daughter in January of 1964.  She always put her family ahead of herself.  Anna loved her Lord more than anything else and was a faithful member of Tecumseh Church of Christ.

Anna was a sought-after electrical tech at INTEL in Hillsboro, Oregon, before moving to Oklahoma where she was employed at Remote Monitoring and later at Ma Bell (before it was bought by AT&T).  She and her husband returned to Oregon where she was a long-time employee at Techtronic until her retirement.  She moved back to Oklahoma seven years ago.  Her hobbies included Bible studies, gardening, and canning.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepfather, James Trout; daughter, Janet Lenore; son, Jack Hendrix, Jr.; brother, Billy Sills; sisters, Flora Stienke and Mary Brown.

Anna leaves behind her oldest daughter, Flossie Jorgenson; son, Jeff Hendrix and wife, Gloria, of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Lorrie White and husband, Paul, of Prague, OK; son, Joseph Hendrix and wife, Jeanette, of Vancouver, WA; Colleen Hendrix, wife of Jack Hendrix, Jr.; grandsons:  Jack Hendrix III and wife, Shonda, Jacob Hendrix and wife, Amanda, Jeff Hendrix, William White, Daniel White and wife, Kristin, Caleb White and wife, Samantha, and Stephen White; granddaughters:  Jennifer Morris and husband, Steve, Sarah Doetsch, Jacklynn Hartmann and husband, Chad, and Jessica White and Jolene; 15 great grandchildren; brothers, John Sills and Jim Trout; sisters, Norma Freshour and Cindy Hutchison; numerous nephews and nieces, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, 11:00 am, at Highland Church of Christ, 905 E. Walnut St., Tecumseh, Oklahoma 74873.
