Anna Jean Hill, 78, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 24, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished friend, Anna, will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born on February 23, 1947, Anna was the daughter of the late James and Nettie Sexton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Jamie Campbell; a brother, David Sexton; and sisters Connie Sexton and Carolyn Nicholas.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband, Roger Hill; her son, Johnny Campbell; stepdaughters, Tammy Coggins (Chris) and Tina Stanton (Jonathan); sisters, Dorothy Crotts (Danny) and Donna Colley (Clark); nine beloved grandchildren Elizabeth, Diana, Morgan, Patrick, Jake, Katelyn, Katie, Austin, and Colton; a host of treasured nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Jake.

A funeral service honoring Anna’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Piedmont Funeral Home – Timberlake Chapel, 405 S. Main St., Lexington, NC 27292, with Dale Greenwood officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Anna’s passing leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her kindness, warmth, and love will live on in the many lives she touched.
