Anna Kirschling Obituary

Anna Marie Kirschling (nee Cattani), age 98, passed away on April 30, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1927, in Italy, to the late John and Olga Cattani.
Anna was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed working at the Front Porch Restaurant, making many friends, and spending time with her fur grand-dog Alvin. Anna enjoyed being active in her community. She was a former member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, a founding member of Holy Martyrs Church, she belonged to Holy Martyrs' Women's Guild, the American Legion Auxiliary Post #202, and the Trentini Alpini Club. Anna will be dearly missed by all.
Anna is the dear mother of Sandra (Bob, deceased) Barnes, Michael Grubich, George (Paula) Kirschling, Karl Kirschling, Carol (Mark, deceased) Shiverdecker; the loving grandmother of Lisa, Erin, Kristen, Sarah, Rachel, Christina, Matthew and Jacob; the great-grandmother of Alex, Nickolas, Emilee, Austin, Laurel, Alyssa and Dominic; and great great grandmother to Sylvantus; cherished sister of Joseph (Irene) and John (Judith) Cattani. Anna also has many cousins in Italy whom she always enjoyed visiting.
Anna is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, George Kirschling; her parents John and Olga Cattani; her sister, Armeda Cattani; and her brother, Raymond Cattani.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Gayle for her kind and compassionate care of Anna.
Family will receive friends from 9-10am on May 6, 2025, at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on May 6, 2025, at the church. A private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
