Anna Lawrence Obituary

Anna M. (Stefani) Lawrence of Plymouth passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2025, at the age of ninety-two.
Born in Plymouth on April 11, 1933, Anna was the daughter of the late Vincent and Yolanda (Fortini) Stefani. A true Plymouthean, she began her education at Hedge School in North Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1951. In 1952, she married Ralph Lawrence, and together they welcomed their first child the following year.
Anna worked for twenty-five years as a customer service representative with New England Telephone. After retiring, she dedicated another twenty-five years as a volunteer at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was a devoted communicant of St. Mary's Church in North Plymouth.
Anna loved her hometown, spending countless hours at Long Beach and cheering for her favorite football teams. Her kindness, warmth, and loyalty to her family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Yolanda Stefani; her beloved husband, Ralph Lawrence; and her daughter, Debbie Lawrence. She is survived by her daughters, Holly Delano and her husband Edwin of Plymouth, and Julie Lawrence and her significant other Tom Laterz of Kingston. Anna was the cherished grandmother of Stephanie Taylor and her husband Nathan of Oregon, Moriah Hill and her husband Andy of Plymouth, Lea Sims and her husband Doug of Rochester, David Tague and his significant other Holly Dyer of Tennessee, William Tague of New Bedford, Amanda Joyce and her husband Patrick of Wilmington, Jon Tague and his wife Jodi of Harwich, and the late Christopher Tague. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Lucy, Myles, and Ethan Taylor, Anberlin, and Michaela Hill, Abigail, Scarlett, Owen, Hannah, and Gianna Joyce, Kelvin, Austin, and Dylan Sims, Marley, Matthew, and David III Tague, Madeline, and Zachary Tague, Rowan, Liberty, and Declan Tague. She leaves her sister, Patricia Santos of Plymouth, her nephew Bobby Santos, and niece Trisha Santos.
A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm at St. Mary's Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Summer Street, Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
