Anna Mae Lichtenberger, 89, Lee's Summit, MO, passed on to her Just Reward on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at home. Ann was born on January 19, 1935 to Gurney and Ethel (Pickett) Mullenix, Unionville, MO. Her excellent ability at Gregg shorthand provided the skill to bravely come to Kansas City to work. There, she met her husband of 46 years, Robert (Dutch) Lichtenberger on a blind date.
Ann worked mainly as a switchboard operator, retiring in 1998. She taught herself to twirl a baton as a child. She was a voracious reader, capable of reading 5 romance novels a week. She enjoyed big band music and watching dancing and gymnastic competitions on t.v. She was passionate about family history, plotting the migration and fleshing out the stories of ancestors.
