Anna Mary Marks

Anna Mary Marks sadly and unexpectedly passed away at her home in St. Albans, VT, the morning of September 3, 2024. Anna was born in Anchorage, Alaska to Phyllis Mahoney and Harold Marks. She is predeceased by her mother Phyllis of whom she lost at a young age and talked about often with pride.
She leaves behind her three amazing children, Dylan O'Connor, Alexandrea Gorman "Drea" and James Petelle, her brothers Chris Marks and Max Knebel and their significant other Angel and Christina. Anna also leaves her loving husband Edwin Combs of St. Albans and the father of James and Drea, Steve Petelle, many aunts, uncles and other members of her family that she held close to her heart.
Anna had the brightest smile and the kindest soul! Anna made friends wherever she went, but held on tight to her closest friends. She will be remembered by many as a driver for Thomas Taxi. One of her favorite places to be was Fairfield Pond in Sheldon. VT where she would bring her kiddos, her friends, a chair and a cooler and hang out for the day. She had ties to Idaho, Illinois and Vermont. She very much enjoyed going for scenery rides with her husband Eddie. She enjoyed bringing the kids swimming at the pool, to see the latest movie, or just hanging out with friends watching her favorite show. Anna was and is still very much loved. She holds a special place in many people's hearts and will be very missed.
A Celebration of Anna's life will be October 19, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elks Lodge, 44 Grice Brook Road, here in St. Albans. You are asked to wear black or purple.
