Anna B. Matro, 99 of Stratford, died on December 9, 2024 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born and raised in Norwalk, daughter of the late Camillo and Concetta (Fiore) Canale, she was the wife of the late Vincent "Mimi" Matro. She was also predeceased by her sons-in-law, Bob Iannacone and Ralph Mastrianna, seven siblings, Josephine, Joe, Jennie, Sammy, Sarah, Charlie, Sal, and her great-granddaughter Heidi Grace.
She spent many years working at Phil Baker's Restaurant in Norwalk, and the Embalmers Supply Co in Westport. She enjoyed chocolate, her flowers and plants, UCONN womens basketball, baking, and family gatherings, Saturday shopping trips with her daughters, spending time at Vincent and Barbara's lake house, feeding Bella (Marguerite's cat) cookies, and she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her children, Marguerite Iannacone, Concetta Mastrianna, Felicia Mancuso and Vincent Matro and his wife Barbara Smith, loving grandchildren, Charles Mastrianna and his wife Amy, Paul Mastrianna and his fiancee' Brianna, Jake Mastrianna and his fiancee' Kaitlyn, Steven Mancuso, Joseph Mancuso and his wife Juliana and their daughter Catherina Grace, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Her family will receive family and friends for her Mass of Christian Burial, to be held on Saturday, Dec 14 at noon, in the St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd., Norwalk, with services to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to: St Jude Children's Research Hospital (Stjude.org), Shriner's Hospital, (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en) or UCONN women's basketball (https://www.foundation.uconn.edu/fund/womens-basketball/)
