Obituary
Anna C. McNulty, passed away peacefully in her sleep, in her Swissvale home on August 18, 2023, at the age of 101. Born on July 25, 1922, in Braddock, Anna was a cherished member of a large family, being one of ten siblings. She was the devoted wife of the late John "Jack" McNulty, and the loving mother to six children, grandmother to 14, and great-grandmother to 26.
Anna was a lifelong homemaker, a role she cherished and excelled at. Evident in the quilts and afghans created for each of her grandchildren, and the many delicious dinners shared at her table.
A devout Catholic, Anna's faith was evident in her daily life, in her kindness, her generosity, and her unwavering belief in the goodness of others.
In addition to her homemaking skills, Anna was a dedicated caretaker. She lovingly cared for two of her sisters and her husband in their later years. Her strength, patience, and unwavering love were a testament to her character and the depth of her heart.
Anna was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" McNulty, and her son, Thomas McNulty of Ligonier, whose wife Marsha survives him.
She is survived by her children Mark (Janice) McNulty of New Castle, John (Barbara) McNulty Camp Hill, Kathleen (Harry) Franks of Uniontown, Anna Marie (Larry) Yerges of Duncannon, and Margaret "Peggy" (Peter) Ford of Wilkins Twp. Her legacy also lives on in her 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Loving, friendly, and thoughtful are words that best describe Anna. Her warm smile and kind words made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her thoughtfulness was evident in her actions, whether it was a comforting word, a helping hand, or a delicious meal.
Friends are welcome Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory; 1111 Monroeville Ave.; Turtle Creek, PA 15145; (412) 823-9350.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Word of God Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish).
Anna will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
Anna's family would like to thank the relatives, friends, and caretakers who all showed her special love through their dedicated care over the last several years.
