Virginia A. McNulty, 86, of Chelmsford, MA, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA.

Born in Cambridge, MA, she grew up in Medford, MA, before moving to Chelmsford in 1965. Virginia was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph J. Crowley Jr. and Eleanor M. (Barry) (Crowley) Harrington, and stepdaughter to the late Paul F. Harrington. She was a devoted wife to Edward J. McNulty, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Virginia was the loving mother of Patricia A. Wilkins (Charles) of Dracut, MA, Nancy E. Williams (Todd) of Hudson, NH, and Jeanne M. Murray (Donald) of Hudson, NH; adoring grandmother to Shawna Murray, Ashlee Murray (Brandon Baldassari), Tamryn Williams, and Shea Williams; and great-grandmother to Caleb and Charlotte Baldassari. She is also survived by her brother Gerald P. Crowley (Rosemarie) and was predeceased by her sister Patricia A. Heywood and brother Joseph J. Crowley III.

Virginia enjoyed summers at Plum Island, gardening, reading, playing cribbage, bowling, entertaining, and spending time with family at the pool or Hampton Beach. She worked as a homemaker while raising her children and later as an administrative assistant at Purity Supreme and receptionist at Potpourri Group, retiring in 2011. She was known for her radiant smile, contagious laugh, and generous, thoughtful heart. Virginia treasured family gatherings, school events, holidays-especially Christmas-and the joy of bringing laughter to those around her.

A private service will be held, with a Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date.
