Anna Louise Rader passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Memorial Services will be Saturday March 29, 2025 at 10:30am at Zion Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Paullina with Pastor Don Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, Iowa. Visitation will be Friday, March 28 from 5pm to 7pm at Eldridge Family Funeral Home in Paullina. The family was blessed by the great care Anna had while she was at Unity Point - St. Lukes & Orange City Hospice for the wonderful nursing staff.

Anna Louise Rader was born on September 18, 1948, to Orville and Mildred (Hagenbucher) Hansen at Cherokee, Iowa. She was baptized in 1948 and was confirmed May 2, 1976, at Zion Lutheran Church. Anna was raised in rural Sutherland, Iowa, and received her high school diploma from Sutherland High School graduating in May 1966. Anna attended Western Iowa Tech for Nursing, St. Joseph School of Nursing, and earned her BSN in Nursing.
Anna married Larry Rader on September 20, 1975, in Paullina, Iowa. The couple made their home in Paullina, Iowa where they raised their son. Anna had a meaningful career as an RN and spent over 20 years as an ER nurse at Cherokee Regional Medical Center and spent over 20 years as an RN at Cherokee Mental Health Institute.
Anna was known for being a fun and loving grandmother. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Anna enjoyed: crafting, photography, gardening, canning, camping, fishing, attending her grandson’s activities. Anna always put others needs before her own. As a nurse she worked from the heart and truly loved helping others and was a strong patient advocate.
She is survived by her husband, Larry, of 49 years of marriage, son Mike (Becky) Rader of Moville, Iowa, grandsons: Ethan (Madison) Rader of Milford, Iowa, Jacob (Erin Frahm) of Moville, Iowa, and (2) great-grandchildren, a brother David (Teresa) Hansen of Sutherland, Iowa, a sister Marilyn Krager of Primghar, Iowa, sister-in-law Betty (Bertus) Deridder of Primghar, Iowa, brother-in-law Bob (Bonita) Rader of Sun City West, Arizona and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville & Mildred Hansen, mother & father-in-law Marcellus & Lovella Rader, sister-in-law Elaine Hansen, brother-in-law Fred Krager.
