Annabelle C. Heine, 83, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 with her family by her side. She was born on March 29, 1940 to Evelyn and Allen Conn. Annabelle was raised in San Gabriel and attended school there and later graduated from Thorndale High School. She went on to attend Mary Hardin University. She worked as a kindergarten teacher and later became a paralegal.
She met her husband, Bobby Heine, on December 26, 1976. Bobby's job led them to move to Jalisco, Mexico with their granddaughter, Brittni. They spent 12 years in Mexico. Annabelle loved to read and lay out in the sun. After returning to Texas, attending her great grandson's football and basketball games were a must. She will be remembered for how sweet and kind she was, also those few instances where her fiery retorts shocked everyone.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Britt Hodge, and Jeff Heine.
Annabelle is survived by her husband, Bobby Heine; sons, Shannon Clay Hodge, and Greg Heine and wife Connie; daughter, Natalie Buick; grandchildren, Michael Britt Hodge, Jr., Bonnie Ortiz and husband Terry, Brittni Hodge, Dalton Hodge and wife Elise, Avery Heine, and Riley Heine; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; and sister, Peggy Seelig.
The visitation will start at 1:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at San Gabriel Christian Church. Burial will follow in Lilac Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Family Life Center at the church.
