Annabelle Johanna Kolstad, age 94, a resident at LakeHouse, 950 S. Rapids Road,
Manitowoc, WI died on July 25, 2024.
Annabelle was born on September 30, 1929 at home in Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of Norbert and Erna (Schrank) Brick. She was received into the Lord's family through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on October 18, 1929. Her confirmation vows were on May 9, 1943 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, WI. She graduated from Valder's High School with the class of 1947. For two years she worked at Newton State Bank, Newton, WI. On September 11, 1948, she married Elroy Kohn at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, WI. They set up residence in rural Maribel, WI. Elroy preceded her in death on February 10, 1982. After his death, she became a certified nursing assistant for eight years at St. Mary's Home,
Manitowoc, WI. On September 29, 1990, she married Virgil Kolstad at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel, WI. Virgil preceded her in death on April 14, 2016. Annabelle's faith was a cornerstone of her life as a devoted member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel, WI. She was a Charter Member of St. John's Ladies Aid.
Survivors include her five children: Karen Kohn (Bill Siebold), Cathy (Michael) Albers, Kristine (Bob) Weber, Brian Kohn (Nora Schlies), and Bruce (Kelly) Kohn; four step sons and their families: Lynn (Cindy) Kolstad, Dale (Rita) Kolstad, Allan (Tina) Kolstad, and Steve (Sue) Kolstad; one step son-in law: Tom (Brenda) Schneske; grandchildren: Lori (Rob) Sisel, Jesse Albers (Jody Rohde), Amy (Kevin) Beeman, Brad (Alyssa) Weber, Jenna (Max) Schultz, Shane (Jaime) Meunier, Sierra Kohn, Trent (Leah) Kohn, Kayla Kohn, Amanda (Nathan) Frea, Holly (Chris) Vanderveren, Nikki (Jason) Lemens, Trevor (Molly) Genz, and Brennan Genz (Emily Kaster); great grandchildren: Logan and Connor (Olivia Bruni) Sisel, Eden Miller (Zach Krause), Hudson Albers, Scarlett, Brooks and Ivie Weber, Jameson Kohn, Emma and Jordyn Frea, Jaxon, Ryder and Austin Vanderveren, Avery Bertrand, and Karaleigh Lemens; one sister and brother-in-law: Audrey and Gerry Harpt; and two sister-in-law's: Mary-Jo Brick and Judy Brick. Nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws; two brothers: Ralph Brick and Ronald Brick; a sister-in-law: Eunice Brick; one brother-in-law: Robert Kohn; one niece: Barbara Brick; one brother and sister-in-law: Jack (Virgil) Kolstad.
Funeral services to celebrate Annabelle's life will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Maribel. Pastor William Harley will officiate with a Christian burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Maribel, following the service. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
