Annaleisa Boggs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home - Mount Pleasant on Sep. 6, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

After a courageous third battle with cancer, Annaleisa Sandlin Boggs passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Irving, Texas, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 24, 1956, in Bryan, Texas, to James and Evelyn "Tommye" (Nelson) Sandlin.

A longtime resident of Mt. Pleasant, Annaleisa was a successful business owner of Country Cottage Florist, where she earned recognition as a Certified Master Florist. Her artistry touched countless lives-most everyone in Mt. Pleasant has received flowers from her at one time or another and can attest to her floral talent.

In her personal life, Annaleisa was a devoted wife, a proud mother, and a cherished grandmother. She shared her love through cooking, and the Boggs family was especially blessed by her gifts in the kitchen-holidays will never be the same without her. She also found joy in gardening, filling her yard with colorful blooms that reflected her vibrant spirit throughout every season.

She is survived by her loving husband, Don Boggs; daughter, Sarah Elles Boggs; son, Bryan Boggs; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Shelia Boggs; grandchildren, Dodi Boggs, Brenae Boggs, Kaylie Boggs, and Joe Boggs; brother and sister-in-law, Ollie and Lynda Sandlin; and sister, Allison Laurin.

Annaleisa was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Richard Boggs.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 5-7 pm at the Boggs residence. A private graveside service will take place on Sunday, October 5, at 2 pm followed by a public memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant at 3 pm.

As Annaleisa often said, "In lieu of donations, please send flowers." For those who wish, the family also welcomes contributions to the American Cancer Society.
