Anne Helen Lennox Bloise, of Conyers, GA, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She brought joy and laughter to any room she walked into and it was said she never met a stranger. Anne was smart, kind, funny, and beautiful. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
Anne was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 14, 1943. When she was 6 months old, her family moved to New York City. She loved her time in NYC with her friends at school and her family. Even at a young age, Anne loved to shop and enjoyed going shopping with her mom and sister in the city. As a teenager, she and her family moved back to Puerto Rico. She loved going to the beach and tanning. She attended University of Puerto Rico and greatly enjoyed her courses in English. She remained an avid reader her whole life, and always could be found with a book.
After college, she worked for Eastern Airlines and then Caribair. She loved being a flight attendant and loved traveling. While working for Caribair, she met the dashing Captain Bloise and fell in love.
On December 27, 1973, Anne married the love of her life, Jose A. Bloise. They moved from Puerto Rico to Conyers, GA into their forever home. She loved her house in Conyers and loved working in her garden. She was an amazing cook and loved food. She loved French toast or pancakes any time of the day. She had a huge sweet tooth and always had jelly beans close by.
Anne loved taking photos! She always had her camera and made sure to capture all the happy moments between friends and family. She took beautiful landscape photos of her travels and her home and many many photos of her pets. Anne loved all animals and treated her pets like they were her children.
While living in Rockdale County, she worked as a substitute teacher. She was patient, kind and made learning fun. She loved teaching the children and the children loved her. She also worked at Rich's gift wrapping. Anne turned wrapping gifts into an art form. So much so, people would feel bad opening the gifts and ruining her work.
Anne loved music- all genres! She would turn the volume up loud and would dance and sing along. She would get goosebumps listening to certain songs and would show those around her. She also loved going to the movies and watching tv. She would watch Jeopardy everyday and would amaze those around her by answering all the questions correctly.
Anne had many many hobbies. She was brilliant and interesting, and her obituary would not be complete if it did not mention how incredibly beautiful she was. She was classy and refined and was always put together. She loved fashion and her clothes were always beautiful; often colorful and sparkly. A blonde bombshell, a kind soul, a strong woman, and an elegant lady- Anne was a force. Her impact on her family and friends is immeasurable. She was greatly loved and her passing leaves a massive hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Allister Lennox and Ann Helen Lennox Catala; and her husband of 33 years, Jose. A. Bloise. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Bloise Defloria 'Lizzy'; grand-daughter, Stephanie M. Dana (Christopher Tyler Austin). She is also survived by her siblings, Loreen (Juan 'Junior') Costa; Allister Lennox 'Lenny' ; Andrew Lennox; and Allison (Stephen) Leonard. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. As well as, her neighbor and family friend, John Williams, who always took care of her.
The viewing will be held Sunday, December 2, 2023 from 12:00- 2:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00pm at Scot Ward Funeral Services at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. 699 American Legion Rd., Conyers, GA, (770) 483-7216.
