Anne Bobby Obituary
Anne Marie Lovaglio Bobby, 90, of Border Avenue, Ellwood City, died Friday, May 2, 2025 at the Avalon Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born in New Castle, July 31, 1934, a daughter of the late Francesco and Pierina (Albicsetto) Lovaglio. She was formerly married to George Bobby who died December 18, 2009. Mrs. Bobby was a packer at Shenango China retiring after 22 years. She then worked in the bakery at Wal-Mart in Florida and New Castle for many years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish – St. Mary’s Church. Mrs. Bobby enjoyed bingo, dancing, shopping and yoga and exercising.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ann Shropshire of New Castle, Marcia L. Strizzi of New Castle, and Linda M. August of Laguna Beach, CA, one brother, James Lovaglio, one sister, Catherine Woryk, four grandchildren and five great granddaughters.
In addition to her parents and former husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Nicholas and Pete Lovaglio, one sister, Theresa Wachala and two grandchildren, Victor Strizzi and Courtney August.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 2 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Ben Barr will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
