Anne Marie Bodnar, age 76, of Bellaire passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born to Clarence and Marceil (Wade) Mann on November 25, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan.
In October 1968 she married Robert Bodnar. They lived in Flat Rock, Michigan until moving to Bellaire.
Anne began her career as an executive assistant working for Aramark, Argonaut Relocation and GMAC for over 30 years. Over the last 10 years, she was an award-winning and trusted Aflac insurance agent.
Anne enjoyed being involved in the Hawk’s Eye Community, she represented the Building and Architectural committee and stayed engaged on real estate changes in the area. She enjoyed deepening her faith and forming friendships at bible study, and participated in the Antrim County High Tea, recently volunteering through modeling at a cancer charity event.
She enjoyed spending her time volunteering and helping others and was supportive of the Traverse City Women’s Resource Center and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Her hobbies were playing pickle ball, golf, euchre, meeting friends for dinner and enjoying spur-of-the moment fun with her husband, Bob.
She enjoyed being outdoors hiking, gardening, and taking photographs. Anne was known to be very sociable and could be found chatting with everyone, everywhere she went. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law James Bodnar.
Anne is survived by her loving husband, Robert; children, Robert (Janine) Bodnar of Saco, Maine, and Pamela (Cameron) Jamieson of Grosse Pointe, Michigan; grandchildren, Brandon Bodnar, Miles Jamieson, Maeve Jamieson, Brooke Bodnar, and Danica Bodnar; siblings, Kay (Pete Reid) Mann of Saginaw, Michigan, Gary (Sue) Mann of Saginaw, Michigan and Susan Crocker of Marietta, Georgia; loving cousins and dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 29th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Bellaire, Michigan. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html or to the Women’s Resource Center at womensresourcecenter.com in Anne’s honor.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
