Anne L. Curtis

Anne L. Curtis, formerly of Haverford, died in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, October 23, 2022, one day short of her eighty-ninth birthday. Born in Brady, Texas, in 1933, she graduated The Hockaday School and The University of Texas, with a bachelor of arts in education. She was married to John. A. Ward III, attorney for Sun Oil Co., and subsequently to Walter W. Beachboard, attorney for SmithKline. She enjoyed The Acorn Club, Merion Cricket, DAR and Colonial Dames. Her lifelong hobby was travel. She visited twenty-five countries, of which her favorite destinations were on The Baltic Sea. Also special to her were The Temple of Angkor Wat, and Machu Picchu. She is survived by her only child, Anne Elizabeth Ward, and two grandchildren, Daniel Guinan and Amon Guinan. A burial service was held December 20, 2022 at The Church of The Redeemer.
