Anne E. (Main) Desjardins, 79, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert R. Desjardins with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on March 11, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Walter Massey and Catherine (Sherman) Main.
Anne was raised and educated in Lowell. She was a graduate of Keith Hall High School and worked in several administrative roles throughout her career, retiring after several years from the Bedford VA Hospital. She loved music, watching Jeopardy with her husband Bob, spending vacations at the beach and playing Scrabble with her lifelong friend Joanne Craig. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, where her infectious and witty personality would always shine through.
In addition to her loving husband, Anne leaves behind her children Lisa Yezzell and her husband Jay of Merrimac, MA; Lynn Houston of Hampton Falls, NH; Tracy McBride of Lowell, MA; and Kirk Langill of Raymond, NH; her grandchildren Zachary Clark, Cody Diamantopoulos, Joshua Yezzell, Adam Wolpert, Faith Wolpert, and Luna Langill; as well as great-grandson Luka Yezzell.
She also leaves behind her stepson Randy Desjardins and his wife Jennifer of Stafford, VA, along with their children Randy Jr., Madelyn, and Tina.
As Anne had a tremendous love for her furry friends, donations can be made to the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society.
Funeral services will be held privately.
