Anne Larkin Leach passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born to Mary Farrell and James T. McKenna on April 11, 1928 in the "hell's kitchen" section of New York City, and grew up in Cliffside Park, NJ. She attended St. Cecilia's High School in Engelwood, graduating in 1946, and then went to work in the RKO building in Manhattan.
Anne was married to Thomas W. Larkin on her 20th birthday and together they raised their six children in Fairview, NJ. Her beloved Thomas passed away in 1969, and Anne returned to work after 20 years at home raising her children. She later remarried in 1978 to Ben Leach and lived in Ohio and then Florida. She returned to her beloved New Jersey and worked for 20 more years while living in Maywood.
Anne is survived by her children; Anne Larkin of Branchville, Thomas and Christine (Sullivan) Larkin, Kevin Larkin, Brian Larkin, all living in Florida, Mary (Larkin) and Michael Keller of Wantage. Her son Jim passed away earlier this year. Her grandchildren; Stacey (DeVito) Schmidt, Michele DeVito of NJ, Gregory Larkin, Kieran Larkin, and Ian Larkin, as well as Ruth (Larkin) Cain and Jamie Larkin, Riley Larkin and Casey Larkin living in Florida. Kate (Sullivan) and Corey Munn of NC, and Kevin and Gaby (Horan) of Sc. Allison Keller, Shaun and Kerry (Bagwell) Keller, Danielle Keller and Erin Keller and Liz Centanni in NJ. Also, her great grandchildren; Hearther (Schmidt) and Ryan Shute and Jordan Schmidt, Justin Pyle and Ava Pisa, Grant and Drew Cain, and Gabriel Larkin, along with Liam, Finn and Addie Keller.
We will miss her greatly. Mom, "Gram" was our rock.
A private family visitation for will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, NJ. A funeral mass well be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace at 11am on Monday, September 30, 2024. Burial will follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations in Anne's memory may be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation www.scleroderma.org. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.fergusonfuneralhomesnj.com
