Anne Mancuso Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anthony Funeral & Cremation Chapels - Brighton/Rochester Chapel on Feb. 1, 2025.
It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the sudden passing of my beloved daughter, Anne ("Annie") Margaret Mancuso, who left this world far too soon at the age of 11. Though her time with us was brief, it was filled with light, laughter, and love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Annie had a remarkable gift for kindness and an extraordinary quick wit that could brighten even the darkest of days. Whether it was through her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, impromptu compliments to strangers, or her clever remarks that brought laughter to those around her, she left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was wise beyond her years, radiating a warmth, intelligence, and sense of humor that inspired those lucky enough to know her.
Her passions were as big as her heart. She loved all things makeup, skincare, and nails: spending countless hours creating videos and being brilliantly creative. Always the adventurer, she loved winter and summer sports, especially skiing, ice skating, and stand up paddle boarding. She recently discovered her passion for volleyball and – despite her mother's concern for broken windows – would practice with a rebounder in the living room. Annie was always up for a travel adventure and the trips she happily went on with her mother to places like New York City, the Dominican Republic, and Toronto are treasured memories. Forever the social butterfly, she especially loved her friends. Annie had a way of turning the simplest moments into cherished memories from countless late-night sleepovers, last minute shopping trips, and many, many after school Starbucks stops.
A treasured daughter, granddaughter, and friend, Annie brought joy to her family through her compassion, humor, and endless curiosity. Her love knew no bounds, and her caring heart will forever remind us of the importance of kindness in a world that often forgets it.
She is survived by her loving mother, Sarah Liccini; her grandfather, John Liccini; her uncle, Joseph (Hilory) Liccini; her cousins, Stella Liccini and Julian Liccini; and countless other family members, friends, and teachers who were touched by her beautiful soul. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Mary Liccini ("Nana"), who was a constant source of unconditional love in Annie's life.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in the memories of her radiant smile, her tender hugs, and the extraordinary love she shared with us. Annie taught us to live in the present moment, to laugh often, to be kind without expectation, and to always be unapologetically ourselves.
A public celebration of Annie's life will be held on March 2, 2025, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm at Nazareth University, Beston Hall in Glazer Music Performance Center, 4245 East Ave Rochester, NY 14618. In honor of Annie, we invite those who attend to wear any
color of the rainbow as a tribute to her vibrant spirit and her forever changing favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, her family kindly asks for donations to Verona Street Animal Shelter, Willow Domestic Violence Center of Rochester, or Brighton Central School District's Rainbow Club (FRES Rainbow Club C/O BCSD, 2035 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618).

the first time I met Annie was when she sprained her wrist and I signed her cast! I knew from there we were going to be best friends! I am so lucky I got to know such a sweet, kind, and beautiful blessed child like Annie! she never failed to make my day better! also when Annie sang Sunroof on the bus! on the last day of school! coming over to see my new dog Daisy and just being really kind and gentle with her making Daisy feel comfortable! Watching encanto together! and doing runway fashion shows together with me, annie, and Olivia at her house! she was inclusive on the swing set! we drew on the driveway with chalk! playing with Barbies together in 4th grade! She would always help me secretly play Roblox without my mom knowing! and we would gossip about boys! But those memories will forever be in my mind! the last time I saw before she died was at Dicks in Eastview Mall! she was with her dad and I said hi she said hi with a smile on her face! I was devastated when I found out she died! but now she will always be watching over me, her family, and friends! for those who are reading, I hope this message lets you know that you are not alone with grieving! take care! Annie was a special human being and will always be in our hearts! may her spirit have beauty and may she be with God happy, safe, and protected! RIP Anne!

Annie will forever be the beautiful
Little girl riding laps around the neighborhood with Olivia on bikes. Annie would carry a walkie-talkie in her bike basket so Sara could stay in contact with her.

Annie always had a smile on her face and watched out for the smaller kids in the neighborhood.

I did not know Annie but what a sweet girl she must have been. My heart goes out to all that knew her. I pray her family will find peace and after time their tears will turn to smiles when they think of their sweet Annie. Rest easy Annie.

I was Annie's Neighbor. I remember when I had no friends in my neighborhood. she was always available to me whenever I wanted to play with her. even though i wasn't a popular girl she didn't care she still was my best friend. She would share popsicles with me and we would put on fake nails together and I have been grieving every single day things haven't been the same without her! I cry every single day trying not to believe what happened! I miss her so much and I wish she was still alive I miss her truly! a sweet and wonderful best friend she was! RIP Bestie!

My first time babysitting her. She was a shy little 7 year old and I tried to help her with her math homework. The first thing she wanted was her mom. She loves her mom and I really do miss Annie every single day.

Thank you for sharing your daughter with us at volleyball. My daughter, Abbey, really took to Annie as she was the first one to reach out and offer Abbey a compliment and friendly face during practice. We think of you all the time. Wish we could turn back time. We will be spreading kindness and love for the rest of our days in honor and recognition of Annie´s beautiful spirit.

i went to camp with annie, and went to a friends birthday party with her. i facetimed her many times. annie was always giving me hugs, and lots of love. annie was so funny, and gave me the biggest smile. she never failed to make me laugh. i will always remember the time i went to a birthday party, and when she got there and saw me, she gave me a big hug. me and annie liked facetiming and doing makeup, playing Roblox, and just talking about our lives. i learned that it´s not hard loving someone. you just have to try . my heart goes out to her family and friends. rip anne .
